At first I was skeptical about these pigments and wondered if they were worth the price for the amount of product you get, but I was happily surprised! A small amount goes very far, so these pigments will last a long time and are definitely worth the money. They mix in easily and it doesn't take a lot to get a strong colour. I recommend trying out the sample pack first to see which pigments you use the most and want to invest in. Plus those samples lasted a surprisingly long time. I just hope they get coade back in stock soon! Love that colour.

Very convenient to do a trial run before bulk ordering. But with jesmonite, it is worth buying in large quantities since small packages do not allow for many items.

I bought this specifically because the product description stated it was “designed to ensure the matte appearance of Jesmonite.” It wasn’t matte but rather more of a semi gloss. I diluted the first coat and applied the second coat as per the instructions. Too bad it was so expensive.
Hi Erin - adding sealing layers at all to AC100 will add a little bit of gloss, but Jesmonite designs this product to be as matte as possible when applied in diluted thin layers.

The quality and packaging were good. But with no instructions inside. I didn’t know what to do or how to mesure the products. I’ve wasted it all in 3 tries.
The amount of product on the kit is tiny. I don’t recommend it. I should have bought the normal base/liquid for the same price.

The amount of product in the starter kit is listed in the product description, and is meant to be a small amount to get a feel for working with Jesmonite. The price of the kit is inclusive of all the other items that are there to help you get started right away, including pigments, a mould, gloves, and stir sticks.
The kits that do not include those other items are a lower cost per kilogram for the actual material. We recommend the starter kit as a 'one time thing' to get a feel for working with Jesmonite right away without the need to get other supplies, or as a gift. We'd absolutely recommend the larger kits for ongoing purchases.
